Big Pit: National Mining Museum of Wales is a real coal mine and one of Britain's leading mining museums. With facilities to educate and entertain all ages and is only 1 mile away from Booktown Blaenafon.

Blaenafon Ironworks Museum

It is at the ironworks that you will find the Tourist Information Centre, staffed by receptionists to answer your every question whether it is regarding the ironworks, the area or further afield. The Ironworks is only 7 minuets walking distance from the Booktown.
